About Hannah

Screenwriter & Filmmaker Based in New England

I am a writer, director, and producer based in New England. With a prior career in clinical psychology and wilderness guiding, I am passionate about storytelling that instills hope through themes of self exploration, resilience, family dynamics, and our relationship with the natural world.

As a filmmaker, I’m drawn to stories that shine light in dark places and remind us of what’s possible. I’ve worked on more than a dozen short films as a writer, director, producer, and 1st AD— spanning everything from indie narratives to impact-driven projects for the Gottman Institute and the Ellen Network. Whether I’m exploring stories that strengthen relationships or creating docu-series about nonprofits helping those in need, my goal is always the same: to tell stories that restore hope and inspire change.

Since moving back to New England in 2021, I eagerly joined Women in Film and Video New England, where I am grateful to have served on the board as the RI State Co-Chair, and currently serve as an ambassador.

When I’m not working on film projects, you’ll find me with my husband and two children — adventuring, tending to our little homestead, or cozied up by a fire reading stories. I am most in my element out in nature — surfing, swimming, cold plunging, trail running, biking, gardening, skiing, backpacking, and canoeing — and love introducing these joys to my young children.
